This gallery features a collection of Thelen’s scrolls, where she continues the theme of reinvention and transformation. She incorporates older silkscreen and woodblock prints to create innovative contemporary scrolls.
The theme of celebrating nature continues in works such as Blue Moon, Butterfly, and Toward the Mountain. Fall incorporates organic materials from nature (paper, bark, and leaves.) Other scrolls are made out of antique paper, bamboo, shells, and even dryer lint.
