Art of Portrait Glen Graves 2015
The Art of the Portrait
Photography by Glen Graves
February 13–March 7, 2015
Reception: February 13 • 5–8pm
Great portrait photographers capture the person who is below the surface: a creation of their fantasy or sweet, tender, and vulnerable. For 35 years Glen Graves has worked to discover that person and present it as a work of art.
Bio:
Glen attended the Brooks Institute in the mid 1970s when there was only one acceptable standard: excellence in craft – without compromise – without exception – without excuses. For the past 35 years Glen has been repeatedly published worldwide. He has worked with GM, Ford and Chrysler, US Air, the Lear Corporation, the New York Port Authority, Baker Furniture, Lazy Boy Furniture, the Robb Report, the Wine Spectator, Architectural Digest, the New York Times. He has also worked with many of the top wineries in Napa and Sonoma Counties, numerous architects and interior designers nation wide. This diverse range of clients required special problem solving and the experience needed to get creative, high quality images quickly and inexpensively.
The 35 years of personal experience and the ability to apply “what works” is the key to his success as a photographer and is the foundation for the Photography Classes, both group and private, he is teaching through PhotoArts Marin .
