b2ap3_thumbnail_Guru-Dev-Singh.jpg     I have always felt Art Works Downtown is uniquely responsible for sprucing up 4th St. back in the 90's when things looked a bit dodgy.  Look where we are today!

Our block is rockin' with a new restaurant on the corner and Move Me, the Nia/Yoga Studio across the street.  Move Me has helped kick start a trend of Kundalini Yoga getting a stronger following in Marin County.  There are now several classes available in Mill Valley and Corte Madera as well as beautiful, downtown San Rafael.

Sat Nam Rasayan is an ancient healing art in the tradition of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.  It provides a profound experience of healing and relaxation.

As luck and/or karma would have it I have been studying Sat Nam Rasayan for almost 20 years now and I work across the street from Move Me! Be still my heart - we're going to start a introductory class in Sat Nam Rasayan Monday, June 5th at 5pm.

Sat Nam Rasayan means "Deep Relaxation in the True Identity."  We will practice meditation individually and also work in pairs relieving our stress, stabilizing our minds and achieving a deep state of peace.  This place of healing can be reached in a one-on-one setting of healer and client, a teacher and a group of students or within yourself in your daily life.  As a process this involves holding a neutral, contemplative state of awareness, being aware of everything - all sensations - and then allowing the resistances to change and/or release as you continue to hold your state of awareness.  Resistances can be distractions, sensations, preconceptions, conditions, boundaries or limits. Sat Nam Rasayan is a great tool to help expand the capacity of your meditative mind.  (If you have one - if not we'll work on that!)

This yogic technology can have many healing benefits even if used solely for relaxation.  Medical research has shown that relaxation lowers blood pressure, reduces anxiety and stimulates system cells and their functions.

     Yee Haw!!!!  Love, Deborah
