Fabulous on 4th Street
My student Caitlin and I meet every Thursday to paint. We start our session together by gathering sustenance. Taking a walk down 4th St. in beautiful downtown San Rafael we arrive at Arizmendi bakery to score some gluten free muffins. There should be an Oscar for best gluten free muffin on the planet. Arizmendi's pumpkin praline would win hands down. They punch our card because between the two of us we spend more than $5. Three weeks ago, our card full of tiny holes, we scored a free

The Four Directions
A few paintings ago, "The Fish Are Confused", I noticed the fish I had painted were swimming in all directions. Up, down, East, West, backwards, forwards, etc. I felt confused just painting it and I assumed the culprit was global warming. The water is warmer and the winters are wetter. Columns of Light in Lake Wakatipu
Somewhere along the line - maybe in another blog post - I have explained my painting is intuitive. Despite the fact I personally never know what is going to show up I'd be the first to admit that along the way a certain style has

Move Me Studio on 4th St. between C & D/New - Sat Nam Rasayan Class
I have always felt Art Works Downtown is uniquely responsible for sprucing up 4th St. back in the 90's when things looks a bit dodgy. Look where we are today! Our block is rockin' with a new restaurant on the corner and Move Me, the Nia/Yoga Studio across the street. Move Me has helped kick start a trend of Kundalini Yoga getting a stronger following in Marin County. There are now several classes available in Mill Valley, Corte Madera as well as beautiful, downtown San Rafael.

Carlo Rovelli, an Italian scientist and author of a book entitled, "Reality Is Not What It Seems, The Journey to Quantum Gravity," says: "Electrons don't always exist. They exist when they interact. They materialize in a place when they collide with something else....An electron is a combination of leaps from one interaction to another." I had the feeling when reading this that such a phenomenon could describe the genesis of many a family conflict, argument or sudden flare of
